PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adjusting method of a ring lighting system allowing even a beginner to easily adjust a ring-like lighting system, and to provide a device for performing it. SOLUTION: In the adjusting method of the ring lighting system, when a bump is lit by the ring lighting system for lighting it in a ring shape, a spherical member having high sphericity is lit, the spherical member is imaged by an imaging means, and at least the tilting of the ring lighting system is adjusted based on a ring-like reflected image from the spherical member. In the adjusting method of the ring lighting system, the brightness of the ring-like reflected image picked up by the imaging means is detected over the entire circumference, the ring-like reflected image is divided into predetermined parts, the maximum value and minimum value of the brightness in each divided zone are determined, and the ring lighting system is adjusted in response to the brightness of the determined divided zone.
