Provided is a device for induction-heating a metal plate which passes through an induction coil. Two or more sets of the induction coils are arranged adjacent to each other in the longitudinal direction of the metal plate. The conductors of the front surface side and the rear surface side are arranged at an interval so that the conductors are not superposed on each other at a center portion of the metal plate of the two or more sets of the induction coils in the longitudinal direction of the metal plate when conductors constituting the induction coil of the front surface side and the rear surface side of the metal plate are respectively projected vertically to the metal plate so as to obtain a vertically projected image. Furthermore, the conductors of the front surface side are arranged in the proximity to each other while the conductors of the rear surface side are arranged at a greater interval. Alternatively, the conductors of the rear surface side are arranged in the proximity to each other while the conductors of the front surface side are arranged at a greater interval. Even if the metal plate is thin, the induction heating device can control heating temperature distribution regardless whether the metal plate is a magnetic plate or a non-magnetic plate. In particular, the induction-heating device and an induction-heating method can control the temperature of a metal plate end portion. |
