<p>Pesticidal compsns. comprising a substantially anhydrous cellulose paste, 0.2-3 times the wt. of organophosphorus cpd. of formula (where R is an organic gp. (1-4C) Z is O or S; X, X1 are halogen esp. Cl, Br) 5-40 wt.% of organophosphorus cpd. of a synthetic silica and 2-5 wt.% of silica of a cationic agent comprising a nitrogenous organic base, an acid-addition salt of such a base, quat. ammonium salts and amines derived from organic acids, in which the silica is prepd. inside the carrier by successive impregnation with two cpds. which react to form the silica, drying the carrier and then impregnating it with the active and other components. Ultrafine silica of 100-500 m2/g. is homogeneously deposited in the carrier to give effective insecticidal and anthelmintic compsns. The prefd. active agent is dichlorvos. SiBr4 and water is a suitable reactant pair.</p> |
