<p>At the time of abnormality of cooling water temperature sensor (26), the supply of auxiliary fuel is carried out when the alcohol concentration of main fuel detected by alcohol concentration sensor (37) is in a high-concentration region. Thus, when the actual cooling water temperature is in a low-temperature region and the alcohol concentration of main fuel is in a high-concentration region, namely, when the volatility of main fuel cannot be satisfactorily ensured, the supply of auxiliary fuel is carried out unfailingly. Further, at the time of abnormality of cooling water temperature sensor (26), when the alcohol concentration of main fuel is high, there is set a pseudo water temperature lower than the standard cooling water temperature after warmup. Using this pseudo water temperature, there is computed the warmup increase coefficient for the quantity of main fuel injected. Accordingly, when the actual cooling water temperature is in a low-temperature region and the alcohol concentration of main fuel is in a high-concentration region, there can be attained satisfactory quantity increase correction for the quantity of main fuel injected.</p> |
