The invention relates to an exoskeleton for safety and control while skiing, for preventing knee, leg and hip injuries, avoiding excessive twisting of the knee, and other movements that can potentially cause injury to the person wearing the exoskeleton, in addition to providing some control over the skis when said sport is being practised. The exoskeleton comprises at least one first support element for coupling the exoskeleton to the body above the knee, at least one second support element for coupling the exoskeleton to the body below the knee, both support elements being interconnected by means of a joining assembly which prevents the lower limbs from moving into harmful positions, at least one engagement mechanism which is operatively coupled between two elements of the exoskeleton, and at least one sensor detecting movement and/or pressure from any part of the body of the skier, for transmitting a signal to the engagement mechanism.
|
