<p>A pointing device and a movement control method thereof are provided to improve the convenience of the pointing by limiting the movement range of the pointing device, thereby reducing the fatigue of fingers. A pointing device(111) comprises an image sensing unit, a control unit(113), and a interface unit(115). The control unit comprises a motion vector calculation unit(114), and a movement control unit(112). An image sensing receives reflected light from an object(110), and generates analog signal corresponding to amount of the light. The motion vector calculation unit receives the analog signal of the image sensing part, and outputs the motion vector(Vg). The movement control unit receives the motion vector, and outputs a permuted value(Vm) based on the motion vector variation. An A/D converter receives analog signal from the sensing unit, and coverts the signal as a digital signal, and an input frame memory stores the digital signal from the A/D converter.</p> |
