CALIBRATION DEVICE OF RAIN GAUGES

A calibration device is provided to decrease the load applied in a balance, to apply various weights, to perform the minute calibration of the rain gauge system and to realize high reliability of calibration precision. A calibration device of a rain gauge system comprises a balance for calibrating a rain gauge system to be calibrated; a pump for supplying water to the rain gauge system to be calibrated; a loading/unloading station for loading/unloading the rain gauge system to be calibrated to the balance; a weight loading/unloading station for measuring the sensitivity of the rain gauge system to be calibrated(21) and the balance(13); and a computer(14) calculating uncertainty of measurement of the rain gauge system to be calibrated by analyzing data transmitted from the balance and the rain gauge system to be calibrated and comparing the standard rainfall supplied to the rain gauge system to be calibrated, from the pump with the measured rainfall of the rain gauge system to be calibrated.
