PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide battery-contained equipment capable of attaining life prolongation of a battery by accurately determining the remaining amount of the battery when a primary battery is used in a low temperature atmosphere. SOLUTION: In the battery-contained equipment 100 for determining the remaining battery 1 by measuring the voltage of the alkaline battery 1 and stopping the discharge of the alkaline battery 1 when the voltage of the alkaline battery 1 becomes equal to or lower than a threshold voltage V<SB>TH</SB>, the threshold voltage V<SB>TH</SB>is reduced when temperature of the alkaline battery 1 decreases. Only at the start of the battery-contained equipment 100, the reduction of the threshold voltage V<SB>TH</SB>is carried out, and voltage measurement of the alkaline battery 1 at start time is carried out in a state where loading is applied with a dummy load 8.
