<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a power source from exceeding its capacity by measuring the loaded condition of a CPU without increasing the processing load of the CPU, and reducing the load if the CPU is in a highly loaded condition above a certain level. <P>SOLUTION: A CPULSI has installed therein an operation rate measuring part 105 which measures the operation rate of the CPU 101 and which sends an interrupt control signal to the CPU or a control signal to an external device when determining that the load of the CPU 101 needs to be reduced as the operation rate gets higher. Methods of measuring the operation rate of the CPU 101 and determining the loaded condition at the operation rate measuring part 105 include constantly measuring the operation rate as outputs of a standby control part 102 within a certain period of time or as the rate of supply of clocks or power to the CPU 101, and determining that the CPU is in a highly loaded condition if the operation rate is high. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
