PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toroidal type continuously variable transmission having excellent assembly characteristics of an intermediate wall. SOLUTION: In one embodiment of the toroidal type continuously variable transmission, the intermediate wall 13 is provided with a mounting surface 210 mounted on a casing 50. A pin hole or screw hole is bored in the mounting surface 210 in an insertion direction of inserting the intermediate wall 13 into the casing 50.
