PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bottom-mounted fuel pump unit for a motor cycle, which suitably performs quick acceleration operation, operation right after quick deceleration operation, and operation right after abrupt jump operation. SOLUTION: A fuel pump P and a fuel filter F are stored and arranged in a fuel chamber 5 formed inside a storage case 4 by fixing and arranging the fuel pump P and the storage case 4 surrounding a whole outer circumference of the fuel filter F under a roughly sealed condition on a cover member 1 blocking an opening part Tb of the fuel tank T. A side wall 4b along a gravity direction X-X of the storage case has a first opening 6 bored on a rear side wall 4b1 in a vehicle travel direction A and a second opening 7 bored on a front side wall 4b2. A first check valve 8 and a second check valve 10 permitting fuel flow from the fuel tank T into the fuel chamber 5 and preventing fuel flow from the inside of the fuel chamber 5 into the fuel tank T are arranged at the first opening 6 and the second opening 7.
