<p>[PROBLEMS] To provide a high-frequency boosting transformer for fluorescent tubes for operating a plurality of parallelly arranged fluorescent tubes used as a backlight for a liquid crystal display panel. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The high-frequency booster transformer (13) for fluorescent tubes is characterized in that a primary coil (21) for input and secondary coils (22) for output are wound on a single main magnetic circuit loop, and magnetic bodies (26, 27, 28) for branching are fitted to the respective secondary coils (22) in order to parallelly operate the fluorescent tubes (40) which vary in discharge-starting voltage and further to absorb the voltage difference between the discharge-starting voltage and operating voltage. A branched magnetic flux inductance generated in series equivalently in each output by addition of the magnetic bodies (26, 27, 28) absorbs the difference between the discharge-starting voltage and the operating voltage, and realizes parallel operation of a large number of fluorescent tubes and reduction of current variance among respective outputs by a simple constitution.</p> |
