A sludge recovery system and method for a water-jet device are provided to easily remove the sludge accumulated in the storage tank without stopping the driving of the water-jet device and to protect an operator from safety accidents by using a suction tube to remove the sludge. A sludge recovery system for a water-jet device comprises a suction tube(100) which is bent about the center, a supply tube(110) which is connected with a pump(130) in order to supply the water to one end of the suction tube and has end immersed in a sub tank(120), a discharge pipe(140) guiding the sludge ejected through the other end of the suction tube, and a deposition unit(150) in which two or more separation tubs(151) are successively installed. The separation tub in which the end part of the discharge pipe is placed has a strainer(160) in order to separate the sludge and water. The suction tube comprises a suction hole(101) and two or more guide tubes guiding the inhaled sludge to the outgoing side.
