PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable system of good cost efficiency, detecting torque and shear of a rotor shaft. SOLUTION: The system 24 is provided with probes 26a, 26b relevant to a compressor 16 and a turbine part 20 respectively. The probes 26a, 26b send microwave toward a desired target component such as a compressor vane and a turbine blade. The probes 26a, 26b receive microwave reflected from the target component and send the same back through couplers 28a, 28b. Microwave detectors 36a, 36b sense energy level of the reflected signal and communicate with a control device 40.
