PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a finishing agent for paving material aggregate, which ensures good adhesiveness without using a large amount of silane coupling agent, contributes to improved workability by shortening a time necessary for surface finishing, and is especially fitted for site work, and to provide a surface finishing method using the finishing agent. SOLUTION: The finishing agent for the paving material aggregate is produced by continuously agitating the silane coupling agent while a slight amount of water is dripped into the same to obtain an aqueous solution with high content of the silane coupling agent, as a stock solution, and adding a volatile organic solvent as a diluent, to the resultant stock solution. According to the surface finishing method for the paving material aggregate, the hard aggregate is surface-finished by using the finishing agent. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
