PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing structure of a ligneous horizontal member effectively enhancing strength performance of the ligneous horizontal member having a through-hole. SOLUTION: The reinforcing structure is obtained by bonding reinforcing plates 5, 5 onto both side faces 2, 2 of the ligneous horizontal member 1 and around the through hole 3, respectively. Each of the reinforcing plates 5, 5 comprises a main body part 6 having an opening 8 corresponding to the through-hole 3, and a plurality of engaging parts 7 etc. formed in a plurality of positions of the main body part 6. Each of the engaging parts 7 etc. has a plurality of claws 11, 11 breaking into a side face 2 of the wooden horizontal member 1 in a manner of sandwiching crack positions 20 etc. of the ligneous horizontal member 1 of which the cracks extend radially from the through-hole 3.
