摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ferromagnetic nanoparticles modified with an organic molecule, which can be subjected to magnetic separation at a nano-size at room temperature. SOLUTION: The ferromagnetic nanoparticles having an organic molecule immobilized thereon are prepared by immobilizing an organic molecule on ferromagnetic FePt nanoparticles. The method for producing the ferromagnetic nanoparticles includes treating the ferromagnetic FePt nanoparticles with a fatty acid and an aliphatic amine to immobilize the fatty acid and the aliphatic amine on the ferromagnetic FePt nanoparticles, and treating the resultant nanoparticles with an organic compound having a catechol residue and an organic compound having a mercapto group. The method for separating the ferromagnetic nanoparticles comprises separating the ferromagnetic nanoparticles and/or particles prepared by binding another material to the ferromagnetic nanoparticles by magnetism from a solution containing the nanoparticles and/or particles prepared by binding other materials to the ferromagnetic nanoparticles.
