PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hook for a clothing hanger, which is not deformed even if the hook is roughly treated when the hanger is used. SOLUTION: The corresponding part of a hook part 6 located symmetrically to a hook end 5 relative to the axis of a leg part 4 is a base part 7. The hook part 6 has a deformation resisting means 8 to make at least the cross sectional shape of the base part 7 such that the width W is larger than the thickness T by pressing a metal wire from both sides when the thick-wall size in the radial direction of a circular arc of the hook 2 is the width W and the thick-wall size crossing the width W is the thickness T for the cross sectional shape of the hook part 6 in the radial direction.
