A recognition system is provided to improve the object recognition performance, and usability of the recognition system by enabling the recognition system to adapt against the variation of the surroundings. A recognition system comprises a database(190), an infrared lighting unit(120), an infrared ray input image acquisition unit(110), a recognition part(180), a visible ray input image acquisition unit, and a display unit. The database stores the original image of an object. The infrared lighting unit generates infrared light to the object. The infrared ray input image acquisition unit acquires the infrared ray of the object. The infrared ray input image acquisition unit obtaining the infrared ray input image danced with being arrested of sieve. The recognition part recognizes the object by comparing the infrared ray input image and original image of the object.
