<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely measure micro torque and stiffness in a head gimbal assembly. <P>SOLUTION: A head gimbal assembly 310 is placed in contact with a force transducer 255 mounted on a rotational stage. The force transducer is adjusted so that it is positioned around a rotational center of the rotational stage.
