PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microcomputer, an electronic apparatus, and a method for protecting a microcomputer-built-in flash memory that can implement strong read protection with a simple circuit configuration. SOLUTION: The microcomputer 10 includes a flash memory 20 and a flash controller 30 for controlling access to the flash memory. The flash memory includes a protection information storage part 22 storing protection information specifying accessibility of a predetermined area of the flash memory. The flash controller 30 includes a flash protection part 50, 60 for protecting the predetermined area of the flash memory from access according to the protection information, and protects the flash memory from access when the access target is data.
