PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure variation suppressing apparatus which can be applied on an image forming apparatus capable of obtaining an enough and sure pressure variation suppressing effect by a simple structure, a recording liquid feeding apparatus using this, and the image forming apparatus carrying this recording liquid feeding apparatus. SOLUTION: In the pressure variation suppressing apparatus used for recording liquid feeding apparatus which is equipped with a buffer tank 91 for temporarily storing a recording liquid fed through a recording liquid feeding flow path 36 from a main tank 10 and a carriage carrying a recording head 34 and moving back and forth, and for arranging the recording head 34 at a higher position than that of the main tank 10 to feed a recording liquid in a recording head 34 by a negative pressure generated when the recording liquid is delivered from the recording head 34, an openable/closeable valve body 93 is provided between the buffer tank 91 and the recording liquid feeding path 36 to close the valve body 93 when the carriage is moved, and to open the valve body 93 when the carriage is stopped.
