摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reinforce a power transmission steel tower formed of hollow steel pipes at a low cost. SOLUTION: There is provided a method of reinforcing hollow steel pipes of a power transmission steel tower. According to the method, each main support member of the power transmission steel tower has flanges secured to upper and lower edges thereof, and bolts are inserted into the flanges, followed by taking countermeasures against leakage of mortar via a gap between the flanges of the hollow steel pipes screw-fastened by nuts. Then non-shrinkage mortar is filled into the power transmission steel tower from above, and thus the strength of the steel tower is improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
