PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interface circuit with an IR (Infrared) interface circuit and a serial interface circuit, and to provide an information processor using the same. SOLUTION: This interface circuit comprises an output terminal, an optical interface circuit part generating an optical driving signal to drive an optical driver, a serial interface circuit part generating a serial driving signal to drive a serial output driver, an interface selection circuit selecting the optical interface circuit part or the serial interface circuit part, and a switch circuit that is provided among the optical interface circuit part, the serial interface circuit part and the output terminal and that becomes off at the time of reset.
