PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL device which is high in aperture ratio and high in manufacturing yield. SOLUTION: The organic EL device includes: an EL light emission element including a pixel electrode; and a first transistor including a source electrode, a drain electrode and semiconductor material which connects the electrodes, wherein the pixel electrode is laminated on the source electrode or the drain electrode of the first transistor as layers adjoining each other. Preferably, the semiconductor material is arranged on a part or all of the periphery of the source electrode or the drain electrode on which the pixel electrode is laminated.
