A mini-map location information providing system and a method therefor are provided to offer location information on a mini map conveniently and accurately by active keyword search of a game user. A keyword list database server(110) stores lists including keywords for names of objects to be searched by a game user. A location information database server(120) stores location information of an object to be searched on an online role playing game. A search engine server(130) receives lists including the keywords inputted from the user, and then transmits them to the keyword list database server. A mini map server(140) receives location information of an object which a user selects among lists provided by the search engine server, and then displays the location on the mini map of the online role playing game. A item management unit(150) makes the search engine server provide lists including the keyword when any one among items held by the game user is registered. |
