MANUFACTURING METHOD OF ELECTRODE MATERIAL, ELECTRODE MATERIAL, AND BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the manufacturing method of an electrode material capable of simply manufacturing needle particles including α-Fe2O3as base material, and to provide the electrode material and a battery.

SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the electrode material is that an iron salt solution is heated and in this state, it is left to stand for prescribed time as aging treatment to form needle particles including β-FeOOH as the base material. By heating the needle particles including the β-FeOOH as the base material in oxygen-containing atmosphere, the needle particles including α-Fe2O3as the base material are formed.
