<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal capable of inputting and displaying another language by adding a minimum module. <P>SOLUTION: The portable terminal is provided with a character input system part 107 having a Japanese entry processing module 111 for generating an input character string by a key code outputted by a key input part 105 or input character string candidates, and a character display editing module 110 for performing processing that displays the input character string candidates on a display part and allows a user to determine the input character string and/or processing that edits the input character string; a font system 108 for generating image data to be used to display characters, alphanumeric characters and symbols on the display part; and a language addition function module 109 that adds a different language input processing module for generating input character sting or input character string candidates, on another language from the key code to the character input system, and adding the font data of the other language to the font system 108. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
