PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting pipe for vacuum cleaners which includes a dust detecting function, wherein the presence/absence of dust on a cleaned surface is detected when cleaning and informing a user of that. SOLUTION: This connecting pipe includes a pipe body having a first air suction passage for moving suction air including dust and waste materials on its inside, a body connected to the pipe body and having a second air suction passage communicating with the first air suction passage, a detection sensor disposed at the second air suction passage of the body and detecting whether or not the dust and waste materials pass through the second air suction passage, a lamp part actuated according to a signal from the detection sensor, a rotation part rotatably provided in the body, a rotation actuation channel part provided in the body, sucking the air into the second air suction passage from the outside by an air suction force in the second air suction passage of the body and rotating the rotation part, a power generator connected to the rotation part to be rotated by the rotation part and generating an electric power for actuating at least the detection sensor and the lamp part, and a muffler part provided at the body and reducing noise emitted when rotating the rotation part and flowing the air.
