PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a board carrying device capable of efficiently carrying boards. SOLUTION: The board carrying device comprises a conveyor 6 for continuously carrying the plurality of boards 2, an elevatable support 16 provided elevatably from the conveyor 6 across the conveyor 6 perpendicularly to the carrying direction of the boards 2, and an elevation drive unit 20 for elevating the elevatable support 16 down to a position where the boards 2 carried by the conveyor 6 can pass over the elevatable support 16 and for elevating the elevatable support 16 up to a position where the first board 2 out of the plurality of boards 2 is elevated up from the conveyor 6 while being supported upward by the elevatable support 16 to form under the elevatable support 16 a clearance through which the second board 2 out of the plurality of boards 2 carried by the conveyor 6 can pass.
