PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of fully obtaining theft suppression effect. SOLUTION: A security buzzer 19 is actuated to emit a warning sound, when the supply of power to the projector 10 is cut off in a previously set warning time zone, so that the theft prevention effect can be sufficiently obtained in the previously set warning time zone. For instance, when the projector 10 is used, in a state where it is placed inside a room of a school, a public facility, and the like, the projector 10 is in such a state that the power is always supplied to the projector 10 in a time zone where the room in which the projector 10 is installed is unoccupied and the time zone is set as a warning time zone, to emit the warning sound, when the supply of the power to the projector 10 is cut off in the warning time zone. Thus, when the projector 10 is used in a state where it is placed in the school room, the public facility, and the like, theft suppression effect can be fully obtained, in the time zone where the room in which the projector 10 is installed is unoccupied.
