An ignition device for a gas engine and gas engine is provided to increase stay time of air-fuel mixture of gas ignited and help it to be ignited. An ignition device for a gas engine and gas engine comprises a heater(12) used as an ignition source. A sleeve-like accommodation unit(13) separates each heater from an air-fuel to be ignited. The heater heats a part of each accommodating unit which is in contact with the air-fuel mixture to be ignited up to temperature required to ignite the air-fuel mixture. The heater comprises one or more units(17) stabilizing the air-fuel mixture of the gas to be ignited. |
