A method for displaying a caption in a digital broadcast is provided to process caption processing data variously and display the data on a TV screen. Data information and caption information are compressed and encoded by an encoder, and A/V information data is compressed and encoded by an A/V encoder(S2). The encoded signals are multiplexed by a multiplexer(S3). The multiplexed encoding signal is transmitted through a broadcast network(S4). The transmitted information signal is converted into a digital signal through a digital TV tuner configuring a settop box(S5). And the digital signal is divided into data information, A/V information and caption data information signals through a demux(S6). The divided signal is uncompressed through a decoder(S7). |
