PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bacteria-removing detergent composition having an excellent cleaning property and bacteria-removing property in the foam-cleaning of the outside surface of production equipment such as a food or beverage-producing apparatus, a filling machine, a preparation tank, etc., used in a food-processing factory, beverage factory, beer factory, etc. and a conveying conveyer, floor, etc., and also forming a foamed state having a high foam-holding property on a perpendicular surface to be cleaned, and a method of bacteria-removing cleaning by using the same. SOLUTION: This bacteria-removing detergent composition comprises (a) 0.1 to 5 mass% alkylamine oxide, (b-1) an alkyltrimethylammonium halide, (b-2) an alkylpyridinium halide and/or an alkylbenzalkonium halide, (c) 0.5 to 10 mass% aromatic sulfonic acid or its salt, (d) the residual amount of water, (e) 1 to 10 mass% lower alkyl glycol ether and (f) 1 to 10 mass% alkaline agent, wherein the total amount of components (b-1) and (b-2) is 0.1-10 mass% and the composition is free of a thickening component.
