<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous ink jet recording element forming an image having good quality and resistant to water and abrasion when printing in inkjet ink, easy to manufacture, having flexibility after printing and fusion bonding and resistant to cracking, and to provide a printing method using the porous inkjet recording element. <P>SOLUTION: An inkjet recording element has a support having thereon a fusible, porous, image-receiving layer of non-porous polymeric particles having a core/shell structure of a polymeric, hydrophobic core covered with a polymeric, hydrophobic shell, the Tg of the polymeric, hydrophobic core being at least 25°C higher than the Tg of the polymeric, hydrophobic shell. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
