<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To require only a one-pass process in allowing a rendering module at a printer side to partially process PDF data, even though PDF direct print data of a print job partially remains at a client side. <P>SOLUTION: In a PDF direct printing method, an intelligent parser is provided to parse a plurality of data blocks of PDF and transfer the data blocks to a printer in the order in which they are used by the PDF rendering process of the printer. The directory information block of a PDF file is transferred first, and the printer can start the rendering process soon after the directory information block is received. The memory locations of the plurality of data blocks stored on the printer are recorded in a database. The PDF rendering process of the printer accesses the database to obtain the next memory location of the data block of PDF, which is required for rendering, and retrieves the data block for processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
