PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulated DC-DC converter for reducing high-frequency ripples of voltage applied to a capacitor for drive power supply and reducing the size of a capacitor and the device overall. SOLUTION: In the insulated DC-DC converter, DC input voltage is converted into DC voltage of a prescribed level by an insulated transformer 5A having primary winding 5a and secondary winding 5b and the resulting DC voltage is outputted through a smoothing chalk coil 11A having main winding 11a and auxiliary winding 11b. The insulated DC-DC converter is provided with a series circuit of primary winding 5a and MOSFET 4, which are connected to both ends of a DC power supply 1, a series circuit of a diode 7, main winding 11a and a load 6, which are connected to both ends of secondary winding 5b, and a control circuit 2 which on/off-controls MOSFET 4. The converter is also provided with a full wave rectification circuit 20 connected to both ends of auxiliary winding 11b, and a capacitor 12 and a constant voltage circuit 3, which are connected between both terminals on an output side, and its output voltage is used as a drive power voltage for the control circuit 2.
