PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sample collector capable of reducing a load on a user by reliably collecting a small amount of sample. SOLUTION: The sample collector includes: a cylinder 11; a piston 12 to be slid in the inner part 11a of the cylinder 11; a piercing instrument storage part 14 arranged in the front part of the piston 12 in the inner part 11a of the cylinder 11, so as to store a piercing instrument 13; and a driving means 20 for allowing the piercing instrument 13 to be moved forward. When the piston 12 is moved backward, so as to reduce pressure in the inner part 11a of the cylinder 11, the sample R is sucked and collected from the distal end of the cylinder 11. That is, the piercing instrument 13 stored in the piercing instrument storage part 14 performs piercing, the piston 12 is moved backward, the pressure in the inner part 11a of the cylinder 11 is reduced, and then, the sample R is sucked and collected from the distal end of the cylinder 11.
