PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stretcher causing no trouble even if being disposed near MRI test equipment. SOLUTION: A lifting/lowering mechanism 40 of this stretcher is provided with: a first gear 42 provided in a mat part 20 rotatable around a first axis 01; a crank 45 reciprocating in the front/rear by the rotation of the first gear 42 to vertically extend/contract a link mechanism 30; a first ratchet 46 provided between the mat part 20 and the first gear 42, allowing the first gear 42 for upward extending the link mechanism 30 to rotate in one direction and limiting the first gear 42 to rotate in the other direction; a second gear 48 having the number of gears less than those of the first gear 42 and threadedly engaged with the first gear 42; and an uplift handle 47 operated manually and actuating the second gear 48 to rotate the first gear 42 in one direction.
