<p>The windshield wiper plant has a tubular carrier to store a wiper arm and the holder of a joint. The wiper is connected to a shaft and a motor so that the length of the beam is integrated with the plant. The carrier (1) is made from a thermoplastic plastic, and that in the cavity of the carrier (1) in the area outside the tubular approach (2) a support structure is provided. An independent claim is included for a method.</p>
