PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver capable of shortening a program viewing interruption time when the currently viewed program can not be viewed. SOLUTION: The digital broadcast receiver includes an unreceivability detecting part (6) for detecting that reception of a broadcasting station is in the current impossible state on the basis of various information obtained from a received signal from the broadcasting station of the currently viewed digital broadcast program and outputting unreceivability notification; an affiliate station storing part (8) for storing channel information of the currently viewed program and channel information of an affiliate station of the broadcasting station; and a channel selection control part (7) for retrieving the channel information of the affiliate station from the affiliate station storing part (8) and letting a viewer to view a program of the affiliate station in the case of the current unreceivable state when receiving the unreceivability notification from the unreceivability detecting part (6), and outputting an instruction to urge the user to search the channel of the affiliate station when an affiliate station is not stored in the affiliate station storing part (8).
