PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noncontact power transmission apparatus, when a load of a receiving apparatus is opened or used in a low load state, that prevents parts in the receiving apparatus side from being broken, or prevent the parts from generating heat. SOLUTION: The invention comprises a power transmission apparatus 5, a transformer 6, a receiving apparatus 7, a load detection/power transmission control unit 8. The power transmission apparatus 5 generates an AC signal with a predetermined frequency to be transmitted. The transformer 6 transmits with good efficiency electric power generated at the power transmission apparatus 5 to the receiving apparatus 7. The load detection/power transmission control unit 8 detects a state of a load 73 to be connected to the receiving apparatus 7, and reduces an oscillated frequency of an oscillation circuit 51 of the power transmission apparatus 5 to a predetermined value, when no load or low load is detected. Thereby, an output voltage of the receiving apparatus 7 can be reduced, and adverse effect due to the abnormal load can be prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
