摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding observation apparatus with superior monitoring of welding conditions, an apparatus which uses partial light reduction by a telecentric optical system and a photo chromic filter (PCF), as an optical system for filtering arc discharge light with the purpose of confirming welding conditions under welding arc discharge, and which forms no image on the PCF, ensuring light reduction performance in the occurrence of focal deviation from the PCF. SOLUTION: The welding observation apparatus includes an arc weld zone 8, an objective optical systems (1, 2) for converging light from the arc weld zone 8, a telecentric optical system 3 for guiding light converged by the objective optical systems (1, 2), a PCF 4 for emitting the light guided by the telecentric optical system 3, and a solid image pickup device 9 for receiving light transmitted through the PCF 4.
