PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for further clearly making dust adhering to the surface of automobile body visible, in a process of removing the dust from the automobile body before an applying process. SOLUTION: This device comprises a slit light generating means 2 capable of generating slit light, a reflector 3 for reflecting the slit light radiated by the slit light generating means 2 and radiating it to a workpiece W, and a reflector vibrating means 4 capable of vibrating the reflector so as to radiate the slit light radiated by the slit light generating means 2 onto the workpiece W in a period of 33 Hz.
