PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treating agent for vulcanized rubber, which satisfies performances such as fixation prevention, adhesion prevention, blocking prevention, the improvement in abrasion resistance required for a coating agent for a rubber-like elastomer and does not cause the peeling of a coating film by the adhesion during high-temperature compression and friction and the abrasion under high face pressure. SOLUTION: The coating agent comprises a cellulose derivative, an isocyanate group-containing 1,2-polybutadiene, a Sasol wax having a softening point of 100-150°C and graphite. A coating film formed by using the coating agent comprises, in terms of solid contents, 5-40 wt.% of a cellulose derivative, 20-70 wt.% of an isocyanate group-containing 1,2-polybutadiene, 5-50 wt.% of a Sasol wax having a softening point of 100-150°C and 5-50 wt.% of graphite.
