MODIFIED POLYOLEFIN SURFACES

Surface modifieable polyolefins are disclosed that allow for the covalent attachment of further chemical entities. The surface modification does not leach from the polyolefin. Example embodiments include the covalent bonding of antimicrobial chemical entities to the modified surfaces to provide antimicrobial polyolefin films and fibres for use in packaging and non- wovens.
