<p>In a bump stopper (1) having constricted parts (2A, 2B) on the circumferential surface and exhibiting buffering action by deforming resiliently when the annular distal end portion (3) in the axial direction collides against a partner member (61) wherein the distal end portion (3) collides against the partner member (61) under such a state as the central axis (0) of bump stopper is inclining against the collision surface (62) of the partner member (61) so that sliding of the distal end portion (3) on the collision surface (62) is suppressed when it collides against the partner member (61) and thereby generation of noise can be suppressed. In order to achieve the purpose, the distal end portion (3) has a club-shaped outside diameter and an enlarged inside diameter and the radial dimension d1 of a collision start point (4) located at the most distal end on the inner diameter surface is set substantially equal to or larger than the outside diameter dimension d2 of the constricted part (2A) located directly above. The distal end portion (3) deforms resiliently to tilt further to the outer diameter side through action of moment at the time of collision.</p>
