<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power-assisted bicycle changing the assist mode with a simple control circuit, interlocking the personal identification function for an authorized user with unlocking and the startup of a power-assisted unit and the restart of the power assisted unit and thus, having an enough theft-prevention function. <P>SOLUTION: This power-assisted bicycle, in which the power-assisted unit 30 is started when a lock device is unlocked, is constituted to have a plurality of portable radio transmitters, to unlock the one lock device by the unlocking signals (ID signals) of the radio transmitters and to set the assist modes 1, 2 to n different in every one of a plurality of radio transmitters 10A, 10B to 10n. This enables the assist mode of an auxiliary power unit to simply be selected only by carrying the portable radio transmitter having a plurality of authorized unlocking signals ID1, ID2 to IDn without requiring a lot of input sensors such as a speed detecting means and a human body indicator detecting means, with a reduced cost. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
