<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image evaluation device for objectively evaluating images. <P>SOLUTION: Image data are input from an image input device 1. Visual characteristics such as lightness or saturation represented by the input image data are converted to points (a measuring circuit for visual characteristics 3). The converted points are totaled and the total is displayed with the image on a display device 12.
