PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a methacrylic resin plate free of optical strain and excellent in heat resistance and the like even if a syrup comprising a polyfunctional (meth)acrylate is poured into a mold. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the methacrylic resin plate comprises polymerizing a raw material in a mold in the presence of a radical polymerization initiator and removing the resultant from the mold. Herein the raw material is incorporated with 0.001-30 parts by mass of a polyfunctional (meth)acrylate and 0.001-1.0 part by mass of a phosphite triester represented by formula (I) (wherein R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>are each a 4-10C alkyl group), based on 100 parts by mass of a polymerizable mixture of (A) 50-95 parts by mass of a monomer or a monomer mixture containing 60-100 mass% of methyl methacrylate and 0-40 mass% of other copolymerizable monomer and (B) 5-50 parts by mass of a polymer composed mainly of methyl methacrylate units.
